The Final, The Classic.

So it finally happened. After months of preparations and sometimes doubts, sometimes expectations, I finally did The Fjallraven Classic.

It's really hard to describe an experience like this. But it was clearly not what I expected. It was better! Personally I think this hike was more like a meeting. With incredible people but also with myself. It sounds strange but I really discovered another part of myself. Before the hike I was full of doubts. I wasn't sure if I could do it. The Classic is one the biggest hikes in Europe, so it's not a piece of cake. It's hard. Physically and mentally. You must be prepared and you must be really ready for it.

There were hard moments. For example when the ground is really rocky. When the rain and the wind smashes your face. When you are frozen. When you are overheated. But it makes the simple things more important. A smile turns into a sunlight. A simple warm tea becomes the most wonderful beverage. You forget all your problems.

I really want to thank Fjallraven for giving me the opportunity to do the Classic. It was an amazing experience. And I can't wait to be back next year, and see again all the friends I met, and the landscape I will never forget. And I hope you too!

Black and Sea.

shoes : Sperry
t-shirt : ASOS
raincoat : Rains.

How to Cook ?

Hey pals !

Well, finally the 3rd and last video is here! I have learnt so much in the lead up to the Fjallraven Classic - I can't wait to start the hike. Only one month left !

This video is for me the most important, because it's about food. Making food in the wild isn't so complicated. Well... I mean... It's not hard to eat. When you are in the wilderness and you are hungry you just need 3 things : a boiler, water and dry food. Dry food is not disgusting. Nowadays industries make great dry meals. Water boiler's like Primus are really light and powerful - So it's totally possible to pitch your tent, make food, sit-down, look at the sunrise and enjoy a good meal. And for me it's kind of like paradise.

The most important thing, which I think you know, is to always bring water with you. You need water for everything. My second tip is to bring stuff you like to eat. I don't talk about dry food but other little treats like chocolate, sweets or coffee. For me it's tea. I love to drink a tea in the morning and before I go to sleep. It's really important to keep a positive attitude and to bring these kinds of groceries.

My last tip is about hygiene. Do not forget to clean your dishes when you can and try to keep them in a plastic bag, otherwise your bag will be an anthill. And it's really not funny.

Well I hope you enjoyed these #FjallravenFit videos. We had lots of fun making them at the beautiful adventurous places in the Ardennes with outdoor expert Ton van Grondelle from Venturix. See you in one month for the Fjallraven Classic and pretty soon for new fashion and lifestyle posts !

During the preparations we stayed at Mess des Officiers thanks to Belvilla !
